The old world ambience of the historic home, owned by the Larson family, and built by them as well, becomes apparent when one is alone at dusk in one of the rooms or in the yard. The old street lights cast soft light on the surrounding yard, which has not changed much since 1900. Moonlight on the lake will indeed persuade you to take a breather and be in the NOW...or in the THEN as you prefer it. The pace is slower, the clock is ticking and chiming in the sitting room, and it is just what you need to slow down. Our target market is the business professional traveling into Virginia to work, or stopping over for a rest. Lots of room to lay out your work, watch TV, or listen to the loons and ducks, whatever your pleasure. Come! Combine work with a nineteenth century slow pace and warm, homey atmosphere. Specialties for breakfast come from our world famous local Italian Bakery, or individual ethnic bakers. Simple life at its homiest.
