The Town of White encompasses a beautiful segment of the Iron Range and boasts several lakes, rivers and scenic nature trails. Located in the within the township, Giants Ridge^® Golf & Ski Resort is a premier four-season resort destination, with 34 downhill runs, world-class cross-country ski trails, two on-site lodging facilities and, quite possibly, the best golf in the United States in The Legend & Quarry at Giants Ridge^®.

The Loon Lake Community Center is also situated in the Town of White.  This multi-use facility, located in the community of Palo, hosts the annual Laskiainen (Finnish Sliding Festival). Every year during the first weekend in February, the Town of White celebrates this festival featuring crafts, winter sports, a marketplace, music, a museum, ethnic foods, skating, Vipu Kelkka (whip-sled), and of course, sliding down the iced hill.
